Mailbird

To setup you Mailbird client, you should first find the incoming server information provided by your forwarding address.

For example, if you use Gmail, you will need their POP/IMAP settings. Once you have your incoming server settings on hand, you can begin setting up Mailbird for your Pobox account.

Enter the following:

Your name: This should be the name you would like to see on your mail account.

Email: This is your @pobox.com address or an address or an address at your personal domain.

Click "Continue" when you're done.

On the next window click "Edit server settings".

You will be redirected to the incoming and outgoing server settings where you can input the following:

Incoming server:

Server type: IMAP

Server name: imap.gmail.com

Port: 993

Encryption: SSL/TLS

Username: The forwarding address used on your Pobox account (where your mail forwards to).

Password:  The password or application specific password used for your forwarding address

Outgoing server:

SMTP server: smtp.pobox.com

Port: 587

Encryption: STARTTLS

Username: Your full Pobox email address, or your full personal domain address

Password: Your Pobox password, or your application specific password

You will then have the option to select the layout of your mail client as well as the theme.  You can select whatever you prefer.

Click "Continue" when you're done.



Next, you can select which accounts you would like to be integrated with Mailbird.  For these instructions, we're only adding our contacts, so we selected that box.

When done, click "Continue".



On the next screen you will you should receive a "Setup Completed" notification where you can click "Close" to be redirected to your inbox.


You can click "Close" and you should be redirected to your inbox where you can now send and receive your messages.
