Fastmail is the parent company of Pobox. We are located in Melbourne, Australia. In 2015, Pobox was acquired by Fastmail from IC Group, as complementary services to our longtime flagship email service. Find out more about the acquisition.
Pobox is a wholly owned service of Fastmail, and is controlled by their policies.
In the context of Pobox, "Fastmail" is also how we typically refer to the webmail, calendar, and contact interface. For Pobox users, it is a replacement for our previous stand-alone webmail interface. All account settings are still found on the Pobox website.
In November 2024, Pobox customers will be migrated to the Fastmail, so they can also enjoy the upgraded experience that Fatmail's webmail, calendar, and contact interface provides.
