To send outgoing mail through Pobox when setting up a new account, please:
1. Select Account Settings from Tools.
2. From the Account Settings page, select the Email tab, then click "New".
3. From the Choose Email Service page, select Microsoft Exchange, POP, IMAP, or HTTP.
4. On Auto Account Setup, enter:

- Your Name: Your Name
- Your e-mail Address: youraccount@pobox.com (any of your Pobox addresses)
- Password: Your Pobox password
- Retype password: Retype it.

At the bottom of the screen, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types, and then click Next.
5. On the Internet Email Settings page, enter:

- Your Name: Your Name
- E-mail Address: youraddress@pobox.com (any of your Pobox addresses)
- Account Type: Select IMAP
- Incoming mail server: As provided by your ISP
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.pobox.com
- User Name: As provided by your ISP
- Password: As provided by your ISP

6. Click Next, then Finish to set up the account.
7. Returning to the Account Settings page, select the account you just set up, then click Change.
8. In the Internet E-Mail Settings window, go to the Outgoing Server tab. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select "Log on using". Enter:

- User Name: youraddress@pobox.com (any of your Pobox addresses)
- Password: your Pobox password
- check Remember password

9. Go to the Advanced tab. Select the dropdown menu next to "Use the following type of encrypted connection:" beneath Outgoing Server (SMTP) and choose SSL. Please note that you should follow your ISP's instructions when configuring the encryption type for your Incoming Mail settings.
10. Click OK, then Close. You are done setting up Outlook 2007 to send mail through the Pobox SMTP.
