Why can't I send or receive email (or log into webmail?)

If you can't connect to the Pobox website, smtp.pobox.com and mailstore.pobox.com/webmail.pobox.com, you may be blocked by our firewall. Check if your IP address has been blocked.

Our firewall blocks accounts that have had too many failed login attempts in a short time period.  This is a precaution to protect your account, but it does occasionally block legitimate accounts.  

You may receive the error "Host access temporarily suspended!" from webmail, or "Invalid Pobox Login or Password" from the main Pobox login page. Most mail clients will prompt you for a password, or simply fail to connect.
