Outlook 2016 (Windows)

To setup Outlook 2016 for Windows, you should first find the incoming server information provided by your forwarding address.

For example, if you use Gmail, you will need their POP/IMAP settings. Once you have your incoming server settings on hand, you can begin setting up Outlook for your Pobox account.

Setting this up will allow you to send messages through our SMTP, with your From address being your @pobox.com address, or your personal domain address, if you set one up for your account.

To begin, click on File in the top left hand corner of the page:

On the following page, click on Add Account:

On the next page, select "Manual setup or additional server types" , followed by Next:

On the next page select "POP or IMAP", followed by Next:

On the next page, under User Information, enter Your Name: and Email Address (your Pobox address).

in the Account Type dropdown menu, select IMAP or POP, Please note, while we do recommend IMAP, some email providers do not provide IMAP. In that case, select POP.

In the Outgoing mail server field, enter smtp.pobox.com.

Within the Logon Information section, enter your full forwarding address username and password, check Remember password. Afterwards, click on More Settings:

On the following page, under the Outgoing Server tab, select the option My outgoing sever (SMTP) requires authentication. Additionally, select the option Log on using. In the Username field, enter your full Pobox address. In the password field, enter your Pobox password. Finish by pressing OK

Next, move on to the Advanced tab. Change the outgoing server to use port 587 and to use TLS

After pressing OK, you will be brought to the previous page. Press Next on that page to continue. Outlook will start a test. If the test are successful, you will see this:

If the tests fail, please go back and confirm that your username and password are correct. After the test succeed, press "Close". You will see a confirmation page indicating that you're finished!
